And once again, Carl has quit his job. This time, I found out from Domestics. I accessed their online site and checked my docket information, which told me the wage attachment order had been terminated. So I called this morning, and she called me back and said he quit his job, and if I hear anything, she’s asked me to give her a call so they can get the money coming back to me for Kellen.
I’m meeting with my lawyer on Tuesday.

Y’know, I really hate to whine.. But everytime I’ve made plans this summer, they’ve gone haywire.
Case #1: I had plans for months to go to the Dayton Fair on August 21st to see a concert. My best friend was supposed to go with me. Her mom had agreed ages ago to watch her son. So that week was haywire alone, someone burned my uncle’s house down, family was pretty well crazy. Then Dawn’s mom changes her mind about watching Daniel. Then Dawn’s car’s acting up and her sister can’t get back in time for Dawn to take her car… I mean, luckily my mom was done with stuff at my uncle’s in time to take me, but she only made sure of that because she knew how long I’d been looking forward to that show.
Case #2: Kellen’s birthday. My stepmother didn’t show, two of my brother’s bailed. My best friend also bailed on this, which thankfully Kellen didn’t really care. He’s too young to wonder why Daniel wasn’t there, but I cared. It was more a case of just being totally disgusted all over.
Case #3: Keven had been talking about a job in Buffalo that he might have been working on. If he was on it, we were going to get together and finally see what was between us. But then he went on this job in Iraq… Yeah.. I’d say that’s a major setback there…
Case #4: This vacation. I made plans with Eric, he was supposed to leave at midnight tonight (his time) to head out here. But then his right ring finger started to swell the other day. It seems to be a typical infection, it is responding to antibiotics and stuff, but the swelling hasn’t quite come down as far as he’d like. So we’re waiting for morning to see if it’s any better before we completely write the trip off, but damn.
I’m just tired of stuff going haywire this summer. I don’t like it at all. Kinda makes me wonder just what fate’s got against me lately… *shrugs* Oh well… It has to improve sometime… Right?

Well, I’ve done it… Taken the first step towards finishing my degree. I called the university today and registered for an online class, which will take care of three credits. Then I’ll only need one more, though Clarion’s got me all confused. I need to re-examine a few things and see just what’s going on and why they say I need certain classes that I’m pretty sure I’ve taken… damn confusing paperwork…
And there’s other stuff going on, but it’s got me all confused yet… lol…

Ok, so I’m mildly freaked out tonight… Bout 3:30 this afternoon, my phone rang.. It was Carl… as in my ex, Kellen’s father and the person I haven’t heard from in six months….
Yeah… we talked for an hour and a half… *shrugs* it’s his phone bill, not mine…
He might be here Sunday for Kellen’s birthday party… I’ve promised not to deck him… And to at least try to keep the snide comments to a minimum…
He says he called just to give me a heads up that my child support might be a bit screwy, since he’s changed jobs just in the last week or so… *shrugs* fun…

Wow… Just got done with a much needed talk with my Kev… He went straight from a job in LA to working in a rather dangerous spot in the world.. So I’ve been worried for quite some time… But at least now, I know he’s ok.. He gets online when he can, which isn’t often. Tonight, he bartered some of his smokes for an extra half hour to talk to me, once I got the garbage outside. two packs for half an hour… But yeah, I’m going to be filling up his email I think, since he’s not able to get snail mail where he is.

Something else to think about….
As I was starting work today, the temporary manager came out and asked me if I would be willing to relocate. I asked why, and she handed me an email from our district manager. It seems our company is looking for 60-72 Associate managers within the next 18 months. The starting salary range, based on the area and experience is $26,260-$34,580. Maximum salary is $47,320. The lowest starting salary alone is almost three times what I made last year.
So yeah, I’m thinking about this now too. I’m going to ask for an idea of at least some of the areas that this would involve, so I can do some research on living costs, like rent and daycare. But yeah… It’s definitely a possibility.
